This course contains a single module covering everything you need to get Salt installed and running on your infrastructure.

Salt is an incredibly flexible infrastructure management toolkit but it can be a little daunting to new users. This course will introduce you to all that Salt has to offer while assuming no prior experience with Salt or infrastructure management.

Starting from a simple single machine and building to a multi-machine setup this course gradually builds your Salt knowledge to the point you will be able to confidently start using Salt in your own work.

Throughout the course you will build a complete two server web & database setup using nginx, PHP, MediaWiki, and MariaDB. You will also learn to use Salt to configure iptables firewall rules and to deploy the fail2ban intrusion detection system.
